Wells has diabetes

Read that in the paper today.  Not a big surprise.  This is a man who had gout and told the media, “I’m not giving up vodka”.  That’s a pro athlete saying that.  And I don’t care what anyone says, you have to be in decent shape to chuck 100 balls up to a major league plate.  How do I know this?  From throwing at the square at the school.  The guy may have been overweight, but he HAD to have some cardio capacity.  Just had to.

One of the Yankees popped off about being the best team.  Well, duhhh, you’re the highest paid team by gobs and gobs.  Every year guys.  The payroll is so ridiculously high for so long that can honestly say that I’d rather watch a baseball game managed and wagered on by Pete Rose, than watch the Yankees play a season series with Tampa Bay.  Rose’s game is more on the level, you know?  Pro Wrestling is more on the level.  It’s disgusting.  Moida Dem Yanks! hahaha.  My goodness I hate the Yankees and their bloated payroll.  I think I’ll splash on some more of that “Driven” cologne. hahaha.

I played horrendously at pool with Ciro tonight.    But somehow, I managed a wild comeback in 9-ball to win 31-29 and then, after losing 2-1 in Rotation, we played 2 more games and I swept so I won the night 3-2, HA!  I don’t ever want to lose in Rotation.  That’s my game.  And one of the first two that I lost, I needed the last three balls.  11, 12, and 14 to win.  I sink them but also the white ball on the last one too…oops.

It’s amazing how mental pool is.  And I suppose that the higher the level of competition, the more mental it is.  Like in “The Hustler”, when Jackie Gleason’s character, Fats, goes in the washroom and freshens up and wins back all the money from a tired and drunken Paul Newman.  The point in the movie was that Fats beat Fast Eddy when he took the time to gather himself and Newman didn’t.  It’s probably not that far off in reality.  It’s very weird what pressure does to you when you are trying to shoot.  Even a no-money game where the pressure is just beat Ciro.  You blow shots you normally don’t even have to think about.  –fog
